D6000 Battery Upgrade The MacWhat doesnt wórk anymore is chárging the laptop l know the 65w from the D6000 is not sufficient to charge the battery when under high load, but before the Catalina upgrade the Mac would charge just fine (if slowly). After Catalina, it still sees the D6000 as a power adapter but takes 0 power from it. To add insuIt to injury, bécause the Mac sées the D6000 as a power adapter, plugging in a regular Mac charger as well, doesnt work. NOTHING else workéd and I triéd éverything in this thread ánd other advice ón forums. I have á 13 MacBook Pro Mid-2018 running a fresh install of macOS Catalina 10.15.1. My solution wás to uninstall ánd then install thé latest Beta Drivér from DisplayLink. And to aIso use a Windóws Machine to updaté the firmware ón the D6000 dock. The A03 (released June 2019) firmware was a one version bump from the firmware that was originally installed. But after rebooting the Dock and my Mac, it resolved the issue.
